Light, stony soil, hence its name
Beaune Grèves is exquisitely delicate with a warm yet gentle flavour that remains on the palate leaving a soft, fragrant taste. This generous wine has a wonderful aromatic power and a fleshy texture.
Very agreeable after 5 to 10 years in the cellar. Will keep up to 15 years in really good years.
Quail stuffed with foie gras, pigeon or guinea fowl with mushrooms or red meat in a pastry crust with a red wine sauce.
The 2009 vintage received the coveted Tastevin award from the Confrérie des Chevaliers du Clos Vougeot.
