Pommard is a wine for keeping with a world-famous reputation. Good structure on the palate, the tannins are very present and the wine has strength and finesse because the parcel is well located (on the Beaune side). Lay it down for a few years to let this wine achieve its full splendour. This is a great terroir wine from the Côte de Beaune.
Goes well with quail stuffed with offal, grilled steak, sliced kidneys, beef bourguignon, marinated game, coq au vin and mature cheeses.
