SAINT AUBIN 1ER CRU
"Les Murgers des Dents de Chien"
APPELLATION - ORIGIN
Grape variety: Chardonnay
Area: 37 ares 80
Planted in 1990-91
Annual yield: 2,500 bottles (75cl)
The better known wines, like this premier cru, belong to the family of great Burgundies: pale gold colour tinged with green, a bouquet combining green almond, marzipan and beeswax, veering towards cinnamon, amber and a touch of pepper as the wines mature. The flavours are predominantly sweet and the blend between finesse and elegance is perfectly smooth.
This wine has a remarkable ability to improve slowly while retaining the style that only a Chardonnay can achieve: 3-6 years.
Saint Aubin wines are the perfect partners for delicate cuisine: scallops, creamy fish dishes, flaky pastry, foie gras, white meat and some fairly strong cheeses
