Volnay is a combination of class, noblesse, finesse and elegance. It gives off aromas of red berries and violets and its tannins are beautifully blended. These are delicate, well rounded wines that will improve for up to 6-8 years.


This wine is ideal with delicate dishes: tender veal mignon with slivers of fresh truffle, neck of lamb with tarragon and pigeon with roasted figs, as well as small bird game and traditional ripe cheeses (brie, chaource and reblochon).


The colour is a deep cherry-red with ruby highlights. This wine is a combination of noblesse and delicacy with a ripe, well-developed bouquet touching on Morello cherries, white pepper and bay leaves. The attack gives a sensation of volume and roundness, giving off a succession of flavours. Fruity notes, small berries, with classy tannins. The finish is softened by a delightful sweetness which lets us appreciate the good lengthy finish. This bottle can be enjoyed for its delicious taste now but will also develop and improve for three more years.
